Housed in a 47,000-square-foot facility

When it was founded in 1962, L. & M. occupied a smaller building of only 2,000 square feet. But the company became so successful that it had to move to a bigger facility of 17,000 square feet in 1977. The expansion continued, and L. & M. took over part of the plant in the adjacent building, to add another 10,000 square feet in 1994. In 2000, L. & M. added an additional 37,000 square feet to its production facilities and currently owns a total of 64,000 square feet of available production space. The main shop is an impressive 47,000-square-foot shop located at 150 Milvan Drive in Toronto.

How does L. & M. benefit from such a large facility? In many ways. This plant houses more than 70 employees and more than 70 first-operation screw machines; it also has an extensive secondary operations area, as well as ultra-efficient quality-control and shipping departments.

With this unparalleled capacity, L. & M. can always accommodate new projects. It takes on a wide spectrum of customers and applications in virtually all industries, with a large employee base that possesses a diverse array of expertise. The company’s engineering and production staff use their many years of experience to ensure the most efficient production every time. The extra space allows L. & M. to use it for storage. To keep its pricing competitive, the company purchases materials and tooling in large volumes, with plenty of room to store it. It also has a unique stock and release program, enabling customers to buy in large quantities and store and release products at the facility until they are needed.
