Megadyne-Jason carries timing belts and V-belts that work for aluminum extrusion.

Megadyne-Jason manufactures machine belts for an unmatched range of industries. This includes some of the most common markets for industrial equipment: oil and gas, construction, agriculture, food processing, packaging, recycling, the medical field, and the automotive sector. There are two types of Megadyne-Jason aluminum extrusion belts available for this specific purpose.

A wide range of materials

The product temperature is the deciding factor for all transfer belts in the process of manufacturing aluminum extrusions. The initial pickup table requires a product temperature of 450 degrees Celsius; after the product goes through the first- and second-stage cooling tables, it should reached the sizing table with a temperature of 150 degrees Celsius. Fortunately, Megadyne-Jason makes its aluminum extrusion belts with a wide range of materials to handle these extreme temperatures effectively.

Due it its broad variety of standard and customized products, many customers in this sector return to Megadyne-Jason constantly. The company offers several timing belts and V-belts that function perfectly as aluminum extrusion belts, as well as special coverings.

Four types of timing belts are available: the Isoran Platinum, the Isoran Silver2, the Megaflex, and the HTB. The Platinum is Megadyne-Jason’s premium rubber timing belt, guaranteeing extreme dimensional stability under static and dynamic tension with high flex-fatigue resistance, while the Silver2 has high power-load capacity and is made of materials of the highest quality and resistance. The Megaflex offers good running characteristics and high traction loads and can handle speeds of up to 10,000 revolutions per minute, and the HTB has an efficient curvilinear tooth profile for high-torque drives at low speeds.

Megadyne-Jason also manufactures four V-belts under the UniMatch brand that suit extrusion. The UniMatch Classical performs in tandem in multiple V-belt drives, maintaining drive efficiency and belt performance, while the UniMatch SP enables higher power, high-speed ratios, smaller centre distances, and more compact drives. The UniMatch Deep Wedge has efficient load-carrying characteristics and high power capability; the UniMatch Cogged Raw Edge Classical maintains drive efficiency and classical belt performance.
