After more than 40 years in the business, Alps Welding has earned a reputation for being much more than a custom fabrication shop. The Woodbridge, Ont.-based company can offer everything from design services to assembly, testing and installation of pressure vessels, piping systems, stacks, heat exchangers, condensers and much more.

The company’s focus on custom metal fabrication means it can produce, for example, pressure vessels to meet a customer’s requirements, in many grades of stainless and carbon steel, and using more exotic materials like titanium and alloys, including Monel, Hastelloy and Inconel.

“We can produce vessels that will perform in demanding applications, including sour service, low temperature service, hardened and high-tensile requirements, and corrosive environments,” the company says.

Pressure vessels are critical and complex pieces of equipment, so it’s important to select a manufacturer with the appropriate experience. Alps Welding has built thousands of registered vessels in its 40-year history, and has experience with the demands of today’s oil and chemical industries, along with a high-level of inspection. Its quality assurance is accredited by ASME, and the team is known for fabricating highly engineered vessels to meet difficult specifications.

The company has experience working with a wide variety of industries, including extraction and refining of oil and gas, mining, chemical, steel mills, power generation, water treatment, processing of food, and pharmaceutical.

“We are used to meeting the unique regulations and requirements for many different sectors, so we can produce the perfect pressure vessels for your specific operations,” the company adds.

And when it comes to custom fabrication, size is not a concern for Alps Welding. Its 55,000-square-foot fabrication facility allows it to build and handle vessels of many sizes and varieties. The facility has a 30-feet “under the hook” height and a lifting capacity of 70 tons. Its shipping envelope is 18 feet.
