The new 1/8 NPT No-Drip Internal-Mix Air-Atomizing Spray Nozzle by EXAIR

EXAIR Corporation has added a new member to its family of compressed-air industrial equipment: the new 1/8 NPT No-Drip Internal-Mix Air-Atomizing Spray Nozzle. This patented nozzle conserves precious liquids while mixing fluid and air inside itself to produce the finest liquid atomization to date. While this device works in a similar way as EXAIR’s standard atomizing nozzles do, it offers an additional advantage – positive stopping of liquid flow when the user cuts off the compressed air.

Good for painting, coating, humidification

Post-spray liquid flow is a common issue when spraying any kind of fluid. Expensive coatings, chemicals, water, and other precious resources can be wasted when liquid is dripped after spraying. Unwanted dripping can also ruin product function on sealing or mating surfaces, as well as the appearance of coated or painted finishing.

This frustrating problem is now solved with the patented design of the new EXAIR nozzle. This unit is ideal for applications in which no post-spray drip is permissible. Shutting off the supply of compressed air causes this no-drip nozzle to seal off the liquid flow positively, eliminating all possibility of drips.

The 1/8 NPT No-Drip Internal-Mix Air-Atomizing Spray Nozzle is recommended for numerous applications, such as painting, coating, rinsing, cooling, quenching, wetting or moistening, dust control, or humidification. It works best in pressure-fed applications that require precise liquid flow. The nozzle is compact and fully adjustable to match the application’s liquid requirements; it also comes with interchangeable liquid and air caps. Internal-mix nozzles are usable on liquids that have a viscosity of up to 300 centipoise.

Conflict-mineral-free and compliant with the CE safety standard, this air-atomizing spray nozzle is available from EXAIR in three liquid patterns – narrow-angle round, wide-angle round, and flat fan. Customers can also choose from ¼ or ½ NPT sizes in addition to 1/8, with a variety of liquid-flow values to suit the application. Prices on these nozzles start at US$304.
