Endress+Hauser invested 240.5 million euros in new buildings and facilities -- 24.7 percent more than in 2021.

Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. is a subsidiary of the Endress+Hauser Group – a global success story that is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. This specialist in measurement and automation technology continues to grow and exceed its own expectations, having achieved new highs in incoming orders, sales, and employment last year.

A year when Endress+Hauser delivered more sensors than ever before, despite strained procurement and logistics chains, 2022 was marked by strong growth.

A time of great challenges

Last year was a time of great challenges, due partly to the war in Ukraine, threats of energy shortages in Europe, high inflation and rising interest rates, strained supply chains, and persistent COVID-19 lockdowns in China. But this did not stop Endress+Hauser from developing stably throughout 2022. The corporation’s net sales increased by 16.4 per cent, to €3.351 billion, with total organic growth at 11.6 per cent. The Group shipped more than 2.9 million products worldwide, with dependable delivery performance.

Sales developed most significantly in the Americas and Asia-Pacific, with strong results in Europe and the Middle East too, and China retained its position as the company’s top-selling market, ahead of the United States and Germany. Endress+Hauser’s process instrumentation and the sensor business of Innovative Sensor Technology both performed well.

Endress+Hauser invested €240.5 million into new buildings and equipment, a 24.7 per cent increase from 2021, which means more than €1 billion has been pumped into better infrastructure within the past five years. The company is currently implementing projects worth about €500 million, the four largest of which involve locations in Germany, China, and Indiana.

Innovation is still a key priority: last year, Endress+Hauser introduced 43 new products into the marketplace, while spending €242.4 million on research and development – a 13.6 per cent increase from 2021. The corporation applied for 235 patents worldwide for the first time. The company’s operating profit increased by 9.1 per cent, to €473.7 million.

With an ongoing increase in incoming orders, Endress+Hauser was able to start 2023 with a high volume of orders. Endress+Hauser is ready to face its 70th anniversary with high confidence.
