The QX Series from Ingersoll Rand is a line of assembly tools designed to improve process control, operator comfort and data communication, while increasing productivity, lowering costs, and ensuring a high-quality product. This new class of advanced cordless fastening tools, available in Canada through Wainbee, delivers closed-loop, multi-configuration control and precision, all at an affordable price.

Top advantages

The QX Series features a Precision Screwdriver, Haz Tool and Angle Wrenches, each designed with innovative technological features that set them apart from other tools in their category. For example, the units are:

  • Highly accurate. Ingersoll Rand has a patented closed-loop transducer control at the heart of each tool, which delivers precise torque and accurate, traceable results. Torque ranges are available from 0.4-2,000 Nm.
  • Easy to use. A multi-function display module provides rundown feedback on every QX Series tool (QXN tool is the only exception). Tools are programmed via USB cable, from a laptop computer, using Ingersoll Rand’s free ICS software.
  • Cost savings. Up to eight configurations for torque, angle and speed per tool enable one tool to do the work of eight, reducing costs and workspace clutter.
  • Ergonomic. The units are compact, lightweight and ergonomically balanced so the operator can work without restraints. The tools are also cordless, which allows for free movement around the customer’s facility.

Additional details

Ingersoll Rand has a wireless communication option that facilitates communication through a Process Communication Module (PCM) to help integrate the tool and the assembly line into a true plant-wide network. In addition, users can manage data and process control, and adjust tool configurations in real-time using Ethernet, Fieldbus or I/O.
