A variety of polyurethane foam materials goes into CFS’ products

CFS works with two kinds of material technologies.

Both fabricated and moulded material technologies are used in CFS’ manufacturing process. Fabricated material technologies include polyurethane (PUR) and polyethylene (PE) foam, visco-elastic memory foam, pressure-sensitive-adhesive-backed PUR foam, and sewn covers. These technologies can vary in density and compression range, as well as in flammability standards. Sewn covers use a broad range of antimicrobial and regular fabrics and vinyl; they are durable, waterproof, antibacterial, bedbug-proof, and machine-washable.

Moulded material technologies by CFS include moulded flexible HR foam, moulded integral self-skinning foam (ISKIN), NVH foam, and visco-elastic integral skin foam (ISKIN memory foam). Gelfoam is a material type in the ISKIN memory category, which also includes foam materials that are antimicrobial, anti-static, and cut-resistant, with no messy gel leaks. ISKIN foam materials meet automotive OEM standards for durability and stain resistance and are antimicrobial according to healthcare standards; they can successfully disinfect ISKIN surfaces with Virox, alcohol, and bleach solutions. Colour-matched to OEM specifications, ISKIN materials are in-mould-coated for enhanced ultraviolet stability and gloss consistency.
