Easy to setup and use

This unit sets up so quickly that there is no time wasted. The user can immediately begin to focus on producing high-quality welds. It features a new track ring design, which means the operator can install or remove the track in seconds.

In addition, the M85 weld head is easy to control thanks to the incorporation of Lincoln Electric’s APEX 3000 Mechanized Controller. The ergonomic hand-held pendant features an icon-based interface and full-colour screen to simplify the control and monitoring of weld activity in direct sunlight or dark environments.

Additional capabilities

The 24 VDC weld head delivers precision calculation and control of travel time, weld distance, weld speed and other essential variables. With tool-less torch adjustments, the user is able to choose any position on three axes, with in/out, up/down and circumferential adjustment.

In addition, each system power supply is interchangeable with an ArcLink-enabled third-generation Lincoln Power Wave machine.

Accessories

A wide selection of accessories can be purchased with the weld head, allowing the unit to meet each customer’s exact requirements. For example, mechanical torches are available in 15- and 25-foot lengths, while control cables are available in 25-foot increments. Additional options include: a spatter shield, oscillation cover kit, torch height belt, oscillation belt, diffuser, replacement nozzle and more.
