Ingersoll Rand and ARO air motors create power from the natural environment. These flexible, efficient alternatives to electric sources offer many advantages. And, with more than 200 models available and an extensive range of options, these benefits can be enjoyed in a wide range of industrial applications.
The advantages
Air motors feature infinitely variable speeds and torques, instant starting, stopping and reversing, and they will not overheat or burnout, as they can be stalled or overloaded for long periods without damage. In addition, these units have cool running characteristics, excellent design flexibility, and they are safe to operate in hazardous conditions because there is no heat build up or sparks. They are also easy to maintain as long as they have a clean, dry, lubricated air supply. An added bonus: many of these units are stackable, which allows for additional gear reductions.
The lineup
Ingersoll Rand and ARO offer more than 200 catalogued models of air motors with varying power (0.10 to 30 horsepower), speed (23 to 26,000 rpm) and torque (0.10 to 1,090 ft-lb.) ratings. An extensive range of options are also available, including reversible and non-reversible types, with vane or piston configurations. Geared and non-geared varieties are also available.
The availability
Air motors are available in Canada through Dobco Equipment, a leading supplier of pneumatic tools and equipment. As a preferred distributor for Ingersoll Rand products, Dobco offers many of the company's high-quality tools.
