Welding rods

Our Excalibur brand of welding rods are premium low hydrogen, mild steel and low alloy stick electrodes. They are designed to provide a smooth arc, outstanding puddle control, excellent strike and re-strike capabilities, self-peeling slag and very low splatter levels. For example, the Excalibur 7018 MR N stick electrodes are suitable for a wide range of applications. Some of the applications they are typically used for include petrochemical, pressure piping, power generation, pressure vessels, fill and cap pass welding of pipes up to X65 grade, and nuclear power plant construction and maintenance. They are impact toughness tested to -46 degrees C (-50 degrees F).

Another line of welding rods available is our Fleetweld brand cellulosic sick electrodes. These welding rods have become an industry standard. They offer features ranging from deep arc penetration for pipe welding applications to fast freezing slag for welding sheet metal. Some of the applications these rods are used for include maintenance and repair, welding steel with moderate surface contaminants, and irregular short welds that change positions.
