EXAIR Super, Standard and Full-Flow Air Knives offer a more efficient way to clean, dry or cool parts, webs or conveyors by delivering a uniform sheet of laminar airflow across the entire length with hard-hitting force. Air Knives dramatically reduce compressed air usage and noise and are available in Aluminum, Type 303 Stainless Steel, Type 316 Stainless Steel and PVDF and are available with one-piece construction in lengths up to 108″ (2743mm).
EXAIR air knife systems use compressed air for industrial applications that include drying, removing excess oils and liquids, dust blow off, creating an air barrier and cooling. We offer Super, Standard and Full-Flow Air Knives in lengths that range from 3″ (76mm) to 108″ (2743mm). EXAIR is the only place you can find lengths up to 108″ with one-piece construction. Special lengths are available. The Super Air Knife has an air amplification ratio (entrained air to compressed air) of 40:1, while the Standard and Full-Flow Air Knives have a ratio of 30:1. A container manufacturer used (2) Model 110006 6″ (152mm) Super Air Knives on either side of a mold to form an air barrier, causing the ejected parts to fall consistently into the receiving container below the mold. Look for more applications using the Super Air Knife online.
Noisy blowoffs become a whisper when replaced with the compact Super Air Knife. The sound level is surprisingly quiet at 69 dBA for most applications, even at high pressures of 80 PSIG (5.5 BAR). EXAIR’s air knives meet OSHA maximum dead-ended pressure and noise requirements. They are also CE compliant. These energy efficient air knives are a great way to reduce air consumption, while obtaining a uniform airflow across the entire length. Shims are available to allow you to vary the force and flow of the air knife.
The Super Air Knife is ideal for blowing off chips, dirt or water from parts, webs or conveyors. It delivers a uniform sheet of air that has the same force across the entire length. There are no interruptions or “dead spots”, which means all surfaces are dried or cleaned. To see our Air Knives in action, click here.
