Our Defiant padlocks use our unique MagSecur technology, a magnetically operated locking mechanism safely sealed inside the lock body, making the locks not only weatherproof, but also pick-proof, tamper-proof, and vandal-resistant. There are no moving parts, keyways, or other openings on the outside of these locks. Other key features include watertight construction and more than 250,000 magnetic locking combinations.

Each of our magnetic weatherproof padlocks has a brass body and is operated by a magnetic key, which is uniquely keyed to each lock. These locks are ideal for outdoor applications and especially suited to storage, transportation, construction, remote facilities, mining, and commercial or industrial environments. Our design guarantees that the padlock will function properly even in applications that involve infrequent use, which often causes other padlocks to seize over time.

We offer four models of weatherproof defiant padlocks at Capitol. The M-8000 and M-8030 use marine-grade stainless steel shackles, while the M-8002 and M-8032 use boron alloy shackles. Each of these locks has a base that is 2¼ inches wide and 2½ inches high, with a locking mechanism measuring 5/16 of an inch in diameter.
