Vending machines are convenient, but without effective locking mechanisms, workers and other users could take advantage of them, taking snacks and drinks for free, which diminishes revenue for both the workplace and the food-processing companies that produce the snacks. With secure, reliable vending locks like those in Capitol’s vending locks, snack and beverage manufacturers can be assured that they are supplying customers in a convenient way while safeguarding profit.

At Capitol Industries, we produce a special series of vending machine locks, each of which is a compact radial pin tumbler that the user can retrofit to many of the common designs of bulk vending machines in the market today. The keying is sold separately and has a chrome finish. Options available include the P158 vending lock and the CPK1010 beaver high-security lock, as well as a cut key for each of these lock models. Depending on the model and design, these vending locks have a diameter of either 18.65 or 14½ millimetres (mm), and each one has a total length of 30.05 mm. We also offer T-Handle inner core locks in seven- and eight-pin variations.

The locks’ cores are coupled with three series of T-handles. These are spring-loaded, pop-out T-handles that accept a broad range of locking inserts or studs, including those that comply with NAMA dimensional standards.
