Thickness Meters

Chevrier Instruments Inc. can supply a comprehensive selection of thickness meters. Some of the different types of thickness meters available include calipers, dry film thickness gauges, micrometers, dial depth gauges, and ultrasonic thickness meters. Many of these instruments are available in both digital and analogue varieties. These products are supplied by renowned manufacturers such as Mitutoyo and ElektroPhysik, so our customers can depend on their reliability and accuracy. Our gauges also offer many features including battery-free solar powered models, a range of options, and non-destructive measurement of all types of materials and coatings.

Thickness meters

One example of the thickness meters we can supply is the Mitutoyo series 500 digital calipers. They include the solar-powered SuperCaliper that does not require any batteries and avoids the need for origin restoration. That means measurements can start at any time and operating speed is not restricted. This caliper features IP67 protection for reliable, waterproof operation. This model also has a LCD display unit with increased impact resistance so it is suitable for use in harsh workshop conditions.

Another example is ultrasonic thickness gauges such as the MiniTest 400 series from ElektroPhysik. These gauges use a ultrasonic pulse run-time method to provide accurate, non-destructive wall thickness measurements. These gauges can be used on hard materials such as metals, synthetics, glass, and ceramic as well as hollow bodies including tanks and pipes.

Also available is the absolute dial depth gauge series 7200 from Mitutoyo. These gauges have a back plunger style dial indicator that provide upward facing readings. The contact point on these gauges is available in carbide-tipped ball point or need point types. They provide a measurement range from 0 to 8 inches with 0.001 inch graduations and accuracy to 0.002 inches.
