A variety of resistance temperature detector (RTD) probes are available from Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. Many different styles of RTD probes are available. They include straight probes with plugs, replacement probes for industrial RTD’s, and various connection head types. We also supply many RTD probes that are designed for measuring bearing temperatures. They include bayonet mount, isolated tip, and miniature styles. Also available is a broad selection of adjustable spring-loaded fittings and connection heads. RTD probes

Our selection of RTD probes includes the style RPT straight probe with plug. It has a stainless steel sheath, and is stripped and sealed with resin to prevent moisture penetration. The maximum temperature at hot end is determined by the choice of insulation.

We also offer the style RHN probes that have a connection head with HEX nipple. The connection heads are gasketed to keep out dust, moisture, and corrosive or hostile atmospheres. The screw covers on this probe are attached to the body with a plated chain, and the covers have lugs for tightening and loosening. Connection heads can be supplied in standard or miniature sizes and in a range of materials including die-cast aluminum, nylon, stainless steel, polypropylene.

In addition, we can supply a selection of miniature RTD’s for bearing embedment applications. These RTD probes can be installed in babbited bearings to provide early warning of overheating. The selection available includes probes with single or dual elements. They can be supplied with Polyimide, Teflon, or stainless steel overbraid lead wires.
