Strain Gauge Sensors

With strain gauges from Durham Instruments, you’ll be able to accurately pinpoint the level of wear your product is facing. Degradation affects any equipment, regardless of industry. In order to ensure continued efficiency, you need to know when your products are starting to show signs of wear. Our strain gauges stretch or contract with your product over time, representing a simple means of measuring this decay. Easy to apply and available in a range of features, these products offer exceptional value and durable performance.

Versatile and effective

From standard to optical to temperature based strain gauges, you are sure to find the right product for your unique application at Durham Instruments.

C Series strain gauges from HBM come in three varieties. The LC1x features up to two measuring grids, while the XC1x uses 90-degree rosettes. The RC1x, meanwhile, features both options. These polyamide products are designed to work in both extreme cold (-269 degrees Celsius) and heat (250 degrees Celsius).

We also carry the G Series, which features three transducers designed to work with transducers. Models feature grids, rosettes and half bridges, with each resisting up to 350 ohms. The K series performs similar functions, but adjust to creep differently.

Other models include the three-millimetre LE11, which is insulated with Teflon for resistance to chemicals and moisture; the LY series of linear gauges with resistances up to 1,000 ohms and a variety of sizes; and pre-wired options that come in a variety of gauges, feature Teflon wire and require no soldering.

Useful in many industries

Designed to measure the level of deformity in a given object, these gauges are suitable for use in industries ranging from military, transportation, forestry, aerospace, medical and so many others.
