Two varieties of strainers available

We carry two different types of steam strainers, with each offering benefits to their individual constructions. Both, however, keep harmful material out of your piping, allowing you to maintain an efficient and productive steam system.

Basket strainers are designed specifically to catch debris. It works within vertical cylinders, where steam can pass through the filter easily while still trapping other material. These models offer simple use and maintenance, and can usually hold more material than Y-type strainers.  Baskets are also ideal for larger systems that are liquid-based.

We also sell Y-type strainers, which are often used when systems require irregular cleaning schedules. This model is used in the majority of systems and offer excellent durability in the face of pressure.  Often, they catch finer particles of matter compared to basket strainers. These models come in three different materials, each suited for a variety of applications. These include cast iron, bronze, stainless steel and many more.
