Stainless steel electrodes

We aim to meet the demands for all of our customers’ stainless steel applications, including the most critical requirements of the nuclear industry. Our stainless steel electrodes can be used for applications including high heat, dissimilar welds, and stainless steel grades Cr-Ni and Cr-Ni-Mo. The many types of stainless steel welding consumables available include MIG wires, stick electrodes, TIG cut lengths, submerged arc wires, metal-cored wires, and flux-cored gas-shielded wires.

One example is our Excalibur line of stainless steel electrodes.  They can provide high strength welds with excellent resistance to stress corrosion, pitting, and cracking. The Excalibur 2209-16 electrodes are designed for welding 22 per cent Cr duplex stainless steels. These electrodes are suitable for use in a range of environments and are used in applications such as offshore, chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, and welding of 2205 stainless steels.
