Solid state power controls

The solid state controls available include the Series 3027 and 3629 three phase SSR power controls. These units control loads with a standard 4 to 20 mA input signal and can provide zero-crossover firing or phase angle firing. The Series 3027 control offers zero-crossover firing that is ideal for resistive loads, providing good control with reduced voltage transients and RFI. The cycle time on this control is simple to adjust from one to ten seconds.

Alternatively, the 3692 phase angle firing power control is ideal for inductive loads as well as special load types including quartz heaters or tungsten loads. This control can automatically adjust the wave form for each half cycle, allowing only the desired power to the load. In addition, current limiting is available. The 3692 control is a heavy duty unit that uses six SCRs so it can handle all three phases equally. Also included is protection against phase loss and phase inversion.
