At Capitol Industries Inc., we manufacture and supply a range of industrial security solutions unlike that of any other company. More than 80 per cent of our portfolio consists of cam locks, with other specialty options available as well. Our locks come in a broad variety of shapes and sizes as well. For example, we carry a line of small diameter locks for specialized applications – cam locks as well as drawer locks.

Our removable-core cam locks are available in a small-diameter option. These three series consist of cam locks, sized at 5/8 of an inch, with straight and corner mounting wings. The standard finish is dull black (353), but other finishing options are available on request. These small diameter locks are available as keyed alike, keyed different, or master keyed, with an N54G brass milled key, up to 230 combinations. The numbering on the plug is available on request.

We offer three sizes of these small-diameter cam locks – the 55700, 55800, and 55900 series. While these models have most of the same dimensions, the 55900 differs with a barrel measuring 19 millimetres (mm) in diameter, as opposed to 17 mm for the other series. Each of these models has a barrel measuring 31 mm in length, including 21 mm from the ears to the key end; each has a back plate 16 mm wide and three mm thick, and the wings measure 41 mm wide, or 32 mm between the holes. A corner-shaped variation is also available, measuring 29 mm long and wide.

Drawer locks with small diameters and removable cores are also available from Capitol. These locks have all the same keying, finishing, and numbering specifications as the small-diameter cam locks have, but they are differently sized and recommended primarily for drawers. Each has a back plate measuring 38 mm wide, 21 mm high, and three mm thick, while the barrel measures 17 mm in diameter and 21 mm in length.
