Slide Pads

Sudbury International Engineered Products Ltd. is a trusted manufacturer of slide pads, expansion joints, and a range of related products for a wide variety of industries. Slide pads are used in a broad range of piping and structural applications, where they allow for movement to compensate for misalignment, adverse rotation, and thermal expansion. We have experience working with customers in industries ranging from petro-chemical to pulp and paper. Our privately-owned Canadian company was established back in 1975. We take pride in our history of manufacturing products that are durably constructed and competitively priced.

Slide pads

Slide pads, also known as slide bearing pads, use two surfaces with low friction coefficients so they easily slide against each other.  Typically, the contact surfaces in slide bearing pads are made from materials such as Teflon and mirror finish stainless steel, as in addition to a low coefficient of friction, they must offer temperature resistance and correct chemical compatibility.

There are a number of ways slide pads can be installed. Welding is the most common method, while mechanical fastening and cast in place are other popular options. Contact us with any application inquiries, or for details on our versatile capabilities.
