We offer heat shrinkable tubing that can be used on objects of irregular shape without splitting, melting, or cold flowing.  It is available in a variety of materials including PVC, neoprene, and Kynar. Our tubing offers controlled shrinking, and some of our varieties can shrink down to 25 per cent of the supplied size. The features of our tubing include resistance to abrasion, mechanical stresses, chemicals and moisture. In addition to our wide variety of standard items, Daburn Electronics & Cable can provide special constructions and our minimum order requirements are less than the competition’s.

Shrinkable tubing

We offer heat shrinkable tubing made from materials including PVC, PTFE & FEP, neoprene, polyolefin, irradiated Kynar, and Viton fluoroelastomer. Our PVC shrinkable tubing includes both MIL-SPEC and industrial varieties. It offers controlled shrinkage when heated to 100 C for a minute or less.  It features resistance to oils, fungus, moisture and sunlight. It has an operating temperature range of -20 C to 105 C.

We have dual wall shrinkable tubing that offers a tight seal that is moisture proof. The inner lining is FEP that melts at 400 F, and the outer wall is made from TFE that shrinks tightly at 621 F. As the outer wall shrinks, the FEP is squeezed into a solid or near solid mechanical encapsulation.  It has an operating temperature of -100 to 450 F and provides protection against vibration, pull, chemicals and moisture.

We have Daflex polyolefin tubing in varieties that offer expanded-to-recovered ratios of 2 to 1, 3 to 1, and 4 to 1.  Semi-rigid and dual wall versions are available.  They are flame retardant and will withstand temperatures up to 300 C for short periods.
