Capitol Industries Inc. offers a portfolio of industrial locking solutions unlike any other in Canada. Many of our products are specifically designed and built for very specific applications – such as our line of showcase locks. As with all of our products, these locking solutions are manufactured in a fully integrated Montreal facility with a lean production process and the shortest possible lead times.

Showcase locks are devices that are designed specifically for installation on glass sliding cabinet-door applications for which some level of protection is required – particularly cabinets and other showcase displays in which two sliding surface doors are to be locked. Each has a metal locking bar with jagged teeth that slots into the base of the lock; a nylon attaching screw fixes the lock in place on the sliding-door surface. The lock fits on any sliding-door surface ranging from three to nine millimetres (mm) in thickness.

Each comes with an N54G brass milled key and five brass disc tumblers; each lock offers up to 230 combinations. They can be keyed alike, keyed different, or master-keyed, and an optional 1054UN keyway is available. The standard finish is nickel, with other options available on request.

The metal locking bar on each Capitol showcase lock measures 11.7 centimetres (cm) long and 1½ cm wide, with a 19-mm handle on one end. The semi-circular base measures 33 mm in height and 27 mm in width.
