Procedure components

Our shot peening service uses air blast systems to launch media at a source, improving its construction. Through shot peening, we can create compressive stress in a circular pattern on the surface of a part. We launch steel, glass or ceramic beads at a part to create residual stress, which gives parts strength, hardness and prolonged life. The process also creates relatively little waste or excessive material such as dust.

Shot peening is commonly used to make parts harder and stronger, as opposed to shot-blasting and other abrasive services. As a result, it is commonly used in industries where greater force is exerted on parts, such as the automotive and aerospace industries.
