Robotic Integration

Integration of robotic technologies is one of the best ways of reducing operating costs, increasing productivity, and ensuring accuracy. Intercon Material Handling Inc. is a full-service robotic integrator and can supply robotic solutions with a broad range of speeds, capacities, and working envelopes. The robots we supply are used in many different applications such as palletizing, sortation, assembly, and carton/tray pacing operations. Our robotic integration capabilities allow us to offer the ideal systems for the challenge at hand, whether it’s for consumer goods, food, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, or any other industry.

Robotic integration

We are a Canadian Universal Robots Preferred System Integrator. That means we are trained and certified to offer end users turnkey solutions, including mechanical installation, gripper engineering, control system integration, vision system engineering, and safety risk assessment services. So no matter the requirements, if you need help with Universal Robots applications, Intercon Material Handling can help. In addition, we offer a range of technical support services that includes system audits, programming, preventative maintenance, and mechanical/electrical repair.

Robot features

The Universal Robots we supply provide significant advantages in productivity and safety, with the industry’s fastest return on automation investment. These robotic systems are easy to set up and program, even for operators with no programming experience. Typically, it takes less than an hour for an untrained operator to unpack, mount, and program the robot for its first simple task.

These robots are also easy to re-deploy, as they are lightweight and flexible. This makes the robots suitable for tasks with small batches or fast change-overs, because it is easy to move the robot to new processes when needed.

Universal Robots feature advanced safety features such as force control. If the robot comes into contact with a person, force control technology limits the forces at contact. That means human operators can safely work right beside the robot. In fact, 80 per cent of UR robots in use around the world operate without any safety guarding. Universal Robots also make automation affordable for small and medium sized operations.

Industries served

Just some of the industries and applications we have experience with include food, garment, electronics, paper converting, optical, automotive, chemical, packaging, and assembly. Contact us with any application inquiries, as Intercon Material Handling offers the flexibility to meet any robotic system requirement.
