Industrial locks come in many forms, and we carry all of them at Capitol Industries Inc. This includes traditional locking solutions with unique, fitted keys, plus innovative magnetic padlock, well-suited for outdoor applications. In addition to these units, we offer several models of radial pin locks. What differentiates these locks is the radial pin tumbler switches that have key pins and driver pins; each switch is pushed towards the front of the lock, preventing the plug from rotating.

The tubular key that accompanies the lock has several half-cylinder indentations that align with the pins. The protrusion atop the key fits into the rectangular recess in the lock, which makes the indentations align properly with the pins. When the user inserts the key, the gaps between the key pins and driver pins align with the shear plane that separates the plug from the outer casing. When the pins align correctly, the lock may turn; this creates or breaks the circuit, and the user can turn a system on or off.

Capitol Industries offers several options for radial pin locks. We have a radial-pin cam lock with a brass core and a zinc die-cast outer barrel, available in three sizes – 18, 25, or 30 millimetres. Each comes with a 1137S steel tubular key blank with up to 60,000 combinations and seven brass pins; options include keyed alike or different. The standard finish is chrome, and an optional shell clip is available. We also offer an all-brass version of this lock, including a brass barrel and the same features.

In addition, we carry a cam-lock kit for radial-pin tumbler locks. Each comes with one lock, two keys, and several accessories. Also available from our portfolio are radial-pin switch locks, with the same features as the radial cam option, but with three different models (solder terminal, spade terminal, or screw terminal). We also offer four types of compact radial-pin vending lock that users can retrofit to many of the common kinds of bulk vending machines in use. A radial-pin tumbler keying kit is available.
