At IBIS Electro-Products Corp., we supply a broad variety of conduits manufactured by Flexa GmbH & Co., which produces cable products in Hanau, Germany. Among the options available is a series of special protective metal conduits designed for sensor and fibre-optic technologies. This OPTOflex specialty conduit is an excellent choice for fibre-optics cables, optoelectronics, medical lighting, medical scoping, machine lighting, beam waveguides, and measuring and sensor technologies.
Businesses use Flexa conduits to protect and route electrical wiring and cable in machinery and automation. Each metal conduit is constructed by the helical coiling of self-interlocked ribbed strips of metal, forming hollow tubes through which users pull wires. These OPTOflex protective metal conduits are designed specifically for sensor and fibre-optics technologies.
These specialty conduits are made out of several different kinds of material, with a wound flat stainless steel wire helix construction. Other materials include V2A stainless steel, fibreglass braiding, and silicone rubber caoutchouc jacket sheathing. Although grey is the standard colour, other colours are available on request from IBIS for a minimum of 500 metres.
Among the user benefits of OPTOflex protective metal conduits are high compression strength, stretch resistance, high resistance to solvents and chemicals, a wide application temperature range (from -60 to 260 degrees Celsius), and monocoil silicone extrusion. In addition, these conduits are air- and liquid-tight, as well as free of halogen and cadmium. Each has a smooth profile and an IP rating of 68.
Other specifications of these conduits:
These special protective conduits are available from us in package quantities of 50 metres.
In addition to these units, we carry many other models of Flexa flexible metal conduits, both liquid-tight and non-liquid-tight, plus ones for laser welding or cutting. IBIS also supplies Flexa plastic conduits, which are highly useful in machinery, robotics, and transportation.
