Potentiometer Input Transmitters

Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. can supply a range of high quality potentiometer input transmitters. These transmitters are capable of accepting input signals from all types of potentiometers, isolating the signals from interference, converting them to standard outputs, and providing alarms. The transmitters we supply are also versatile, as they offer a variety of output ranges that can be selected in the field. During our more than 45 years in business, Mod-Tronic Instruments has earned a reputation for supplying proven brands that our customers can rely on when they’re seeking both high performance and low cost.

Potentiometer input transmitters

We can supply a variety of potentiometer input transmitters from Absolute Process Instruments. They include models with alarm trips, signal isolation, Looptracker LEDs, removable plugs. For instance, we offer the API 2000 Series DuoPak two-channel isolating transmitter. This unit has two independent channels for signal conversion, isolation, and retransmission. It can convert signals from potentiometers, strain gauges, RTDs and more to DC voltage or current outputs.  It features easy installation thanks to the removable plugs, and allows users to select any two input and output types to suit the application.

Another example of the transmitters available is the API 4008 G field-rangeable transmitter. This unit can accept input from any potentiometer with a value of 0 to 100 ohms through 0 to 1 Mohm, with no need for recalibration and without affect accuracy (when 100 per cent of the potentiometer range is used). The transmitter output can be field-configured without opening the case, using the external switches. The options for output ranges include eight DC current ranges and ten DC voltage ranges.
