Polyethylene Sheet Product Line

Johnston Industrial Plastics distributes sheets from high-density polyethylene (specific gravity of 0.941–0.965), low-density polyethylene (specific gravity of 0.910–0.925) and UHMW (ultra-high-molecular-weight) polyethylene. The lightweight material features excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption and a low coefficient of friction. Higher density polyethylene offers improved chemical resistance, hardness, strength and better gas barrier properties. Use inert gases such as nitrogen to weld this material.

Customers have used our polyethylene sheets to manufacture orthopedic devices, prosthetic devices, vacuum-formed parts, fume hoods, plating tanks, food processing equipment and more. Our Montreal and Toronto facilities are registered to ISO 9001:2008 and we are committed to constantly improve the quality of our products and customer service. We can provide technical support in property data, ranked properties, chemical resistance, machining instructions and plastics identification. We also distribute hot air welding tools for thermoplastics.
