Pipe Fittings

A global leader in thermoplastic piping systems, IPEX Inc. manufactures a wide variety of fittings, pipes and valves. A proudly Canadian company with more than 50 years of experience in the plastics industry, we offer customers training and assistance beyond software and technical literature. Our friendly and knowledgeable sales, technical and engineering teams are happy to walk you through attributes, uses and installation methods for any of our products. We are also committed to our duties as a corporate citizenship, and always follow rigorous safety standards for both employee health and environmental protection.

Pipe Fittings Product Line

We design and manufacture several models of pipe fittings.

  • Injection molded and even tougher than the pipe to which they’re attached, Blue Brute Fittings feature thick walls and a tough layer of fiberglass for extra protection. Immune to corrosion and finished in glossy PVC that eliminates tuberculation, these fittings help maintain water quality and minimize pumping costs. They are available in sizes ranging from 4″ to 18″, and are shipped with standard or Nitrile gaskets.
  • Featuring Slide & Tighten technology, Philmac fittings offer leak-proof seals and are easy to install with a wrench or by hand. These compact fittings don’t require any solvent cementing to install, and fit easily into tight spaces. They arrive pre-assembled for easy installation.
  • Used in sanitary and drainage piping systems, Solvent Weld injection-molded fittings are available in sizes from 3″ to 8″. These fittings are chemically fused to PVC pipes, creating systems that can resist large tensile loads without pulling apart.

Pipe Fittings Industrial Applications

We serve customers in the electrical, telecommunications and utility industries, who work in municipal, industrial, commercial and residential areas.

Pipe Fittings Manufacturing Process

To fuse pipes and fittings using the solvent welding process, we apply a solvent to the surface of a PVC pipe spigot as well as to the inside of a matching bell. The solvent dissolves some of the chemical bonds in the plastic, and “melts” the bell and spigot together. The solvent slowly evaporates, and the joint essentially functions as a continuous pipe.
