At Capitol Industries Inc., we carry industrial security products for a broad range of applications. Although about 80 per cent of our portfolio consists of variations of cam locks, we also make a wide variety of specialty locking solutions, including locks for drawers, sliding doors, mailboxes, vending machines, windows, and desks. In addition to these, we offer our own series of patio door locks. These products can come in handy both in homes and in certain office environments – including workplaces that are located within residential housing.

While sliding patio doors are attractive and convenient to have, they can present a significant security weakness if they lack secure, reliable locking solutions. Burglars and other intruders often view patio doors as easy and fast ways to break into houses or workplaces, and some facilities have made the mistake of equipping them with poorly fitting plastic locks. Some of these doors can be easily lifted out of their sliding tracks, making the plastic locks ineffective. But with our line of specialty locks for patio doors, such issues can be eliminated.

Our patio door locks have a thick die cast zinc body, making it very sturdy, with a grey powder coat finish to resist corrosion. The lock cylinder is turned with a key, releasing the locking bolt, which is pulled open or pushed close manually. The locks come with a 1054UN steel stamped key and 100 available combinations. This Capitol series can be keyed alike or keyed different.

These patio door locks are 59 millimetres (mm) long, 38 mm wide, and 29 mm thick, while measuring 41 mm from the bottom to the corner of the triangular cutoff. The locking bolt has a projection of 17 mm and is ten mm in diameter.
