Overhead Cranes

With over forty years of experience, Engineered Lifting Systems & Equipment Inc. designs and manufactures a comprehensive line of cranes, hoists, forklift attachments and other lifting devices. Now based in Elmira, Ont., we are proud to work customers from across Canada and beyond. In addition to our standard series of equipment, we can engineer and fabricate custom carts, platforms, pallet lift and stacker cranes, fixtures and more to suit your company’s exact needs. We can also provide load testing and equipment certification, installation, and pre-start health and safety reviews. From the first design to the first use, we’re here to give you a lift.

Overhead Cranes Product Line

We manufacture many models of overhead crane systems.

  • Bridge cranes have a 15 ton capacity, and span to 120 ft. Structural box girder technology helps to create a torsion-resistant design. Steel endtrucks are machined to precisely align with the crane girder mounting plates for exceptional travel characteristics and long service life.
  • Ceiling-mounted jib cranes span to 16 ft., and feature 360º rotation. They can be stationary mounted or platform-supported. When platform-mounted, the jib can swing under obstructions, and multiple cells can be overed by one crane and lifting device.
  • Lightweight gantry cranes have capacities from 250 lbs. to 2 tons, and spans up to 20 ft. They can lift materials anywhere in a facilty, provide localized handling, and suit applications that infrequently require lifting equipment.

We also provide work station cranes and automated crane systems.

Overhead Cranes Industrial Applications

We serve customers in the construction, manufacturing, automotive, pulp and paper, and steel industries, among many others.

Overhead Cranes Manufacturing Process

Before beginning a custom fabrication project, our on-staff professional engineers visit the site to collect data and discuss with the customer the desired outcomes. They then consider various solutions to optimize cost, safety and durability, and submit a proposal to the customer. After a receipt of purchase, the engineers will use 2D AutoCad or 3D SolidWorks to create a concept drawing. Once that is approved, our certified welders and licensed millwrights manufacture the machine in our shop. We will then install the equipment, complying to all site-specific safety rules. We can provide training on equipment use upon request.
