Rapid Gear specializes in gearbox repair and rebuilds. Our innovative rebuilding program was developed to save our customers’ time and money. For instance, these services are performed with quick turnaround to minimize downtime. In addition, gearbox repairs and rebuilds cost significantly less than replacement. We employ experienced craftsmen who can restore old gears, gearboxes, and associated machinery to meet or exceed the original specifications. Our company machines equipment to the highest standard for precision and quality. Rapid Gear is certified to ISO 9001:2008, and it has been a member of AGMA since 1988.
Gearbox repair services
Our repair services can provide savings of up to 75 per cent when compared to the cost of replacement. Repair is an also ideal solution when replacement parts are not available. We can handle all types of projects whether it’s a single damaged gear or a discontinued worn-out gearbox.
We also have experience working with a wide range of gear types. For instance, we have gear cutting capabilities for spur, bevel, worm, rack, internal, sprocket, herringbone, and double helical gears. Our machine shop has lifting capabilities up to 30 tons, turning capabilities up to 36-inch diameters and 156-inch lengths, and slotting capabilities up to 108-inch diameters and 25-inch strokes.
In addition to our 40,000 square-foot manufacturing facilities, we have a mobile shop so we can provide field services including inspections and repairs.

We continually invest in new equipment, so our machine shop is equipped with a range of advanced machines.
