Non-Ferrous Alloys

Ken Forging Inc. can use a variety of non-ferrous alloys to forge industrial fasteners and hardware. The variety included aluminum, copper, titanium, and nickel alloys. Each of these options offers its own benefits, so we can supply a forging that is ideally suited to your application. We maintain a large stock of forgings and we have one of the widest selections in the industry. The products we often supply include eye bolts, turnbuckles, and swivel hoist rings. Custom forging services are also available. Our company brings more than 45 years’ experience to the table when assisting with all of your forging needs.

Non-ferrous alloys

Here is a listing of some of the non-ferrous alloys we can work with and their advantages.

  • Aluminum has a good strength-to-weight ratio and is easy to forge.
  • Copper maintains its non-sparking and non-magnetic properties while offering good conductivity.
  • Titanium features an excellent strength-to-weight ratio but has a high material cost.
  • Nickel alloys feature high stability at extreme temperatures as well as resistance to oxidation.

In addition to non-ferrous alloys, we typically work with many grades of carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel. Once you choose the appropriate material for your needs, we also offer many options for fastener design, threading types, and surface finishes.

Non-ferrous alloy expertise

Our company got its start as a small tool and die business in 1970. Back then, it consisted of one man working out of a small garage. Due to high quality workmanship and customer service, we quickly grew and expanded our focus. Today we have over 130 employees working out of our 250,000 sq. ft. facility. We have the capability to perform a range of secondary operations in-house, so we can offer our customers a fully finished product in a one-stop shop environment.

Non-ferrous alloy forging industries

Forgings offer higher strength and reliability than parts made using other metal working processes. For that reason, our products are often used as critical components when dependability is required and human safety is involved. For example, they are used in airplanes, automobiles, ships, engines, missiles, tractors, material handling equipment and more.
