Low Power Solenoid Valves

Solenoid valves make up one of our primary specialties at ODE Valve Canada. For six decades, we have always worked to come up with groundbreaking new products in this area. Among our newest innovations is the 21WR series of low power solenoid valves. These are 2/2-way normally closed and normally open units with pilot control. The valves are ideal for use in such sectors as municipal water and wastewater, petrochemicals, oil and gas, food processing, chemicals, mining, pulp and paper, aquaculture, and other commercial and automation markets.

We carry the 21WR series in sizes ranging from 3/8 of an inch to one inch. They have multiple seals constructed from nitrile rubber (NBR), fluoroelastomer (FKM), and ethylene-propylene (EPDM) for various types of media up to 232 pounds per square inch operating pressure differential with five-watt, 12-VDC, 24-VDC, 48-VDC, 12-VAC, 24-VAC, 120-VAC, and 230-VAC coil voltages. These brass solenoid valves comply with quality and safety certifications by CSA Group, UL, CRN, VDE, ATEX, PED, ISO, and other international organizations.

Two models in this series of low power solenoid valves – the 21W3RB190 and the 21W4RB250 – offer pilot control for interception of fluids that are compatible with the construction materials. These units need a minimum operational pressure of 0.2 bar and have a maximum allowable pressure of 25 bar. ODE’s team of experts uses material and conducts tests in order to ensure optimum reliability and duration. These two models are recommended for heating and automation tasks, with a coil housing and coil former material made with 100 per cent virgin materials.

The NBR seals on our low power solenoid valves work especially well with air, inert gas, and water with temperatures ranging from minus ten to 90 degrees Celsius; the EPDM seals are best suited for water and low-pressure steam, while the FKM ones work with mineral oil, gasoline, and gas oil. Both the EPDM and FKM seals can withstand temperatures of up to 140 degrees Celsius.

We encourage our customers to get in touch with us to learn more about how the 21WR series can help them with their unique applications.
