We offer six designs of Dietz Sensortechnik light curtains at IBIS Electro-Products Corp. Each of these products has a compact infrared light with adjustable sensitivity. All six types of these sensors are black, with weights ranging from 500 grams to one kilogram and each with some type of PNP digital sensor output. They form one of the many important product groups that Dietz makes available to Canadian businesses through us.
Light curtains are opto-electronic devices that are used to halt moving machinery. The instrument sends a beam of light from a transmitter to a receiver, and if the light is broken, the device stops the automated machine. Relevant applications include non-contact presence detection, counting and verifying, packaging and material-handling equipment, and assembly tasks in automation, machinery, food processing, pharmaceuticals, paper conversion, and the automotive sector.
The Dietz curtains available through us are not to be confused with safety light curtains, which are specifically designed to safeguard personnel in the vicinity of moving machinery with the potential to cause harm.
IBIS supplies the following variations of Dietz light curtains:
Each of these devices has an operating temperature range from -10 to 50 degrees Celsius and a robust metal housing with an IP51 sealing level. Other common specifications: maximum current output of 100 mA, ambient-light immunity of 40 k Klux, and M12 (four-wire) connector.
