While we offer an unsurpassed portfolio of locks at Capitol Industries Inc. – about 80 per cent of which consists of variations of cam locks – our lineup also includes three kinds of keying kits. Complementing our cam- and specialty-lock kits, each of these convenient packages organizes hundreds of lock components – disc tumblers, master tumblers, retainers, springs, and/or pins – in an attractive, multiple-compartment, durable travelling case that suits the professional.

These assorted kits contain virtually all kinds of replacement lock parts for almost everything that workers are likely to need on the work site to service our locks or other compatible brands. When locking mechanisms go missing or need to be replaced on short notice, Capitol keying kits are essential to have on hand.

First up is our Wafer keying kit, which holds eight compartments. This kit carries five kinds of disc tumblers, 50 of each, as well as 150 disc-tumbler springs, 50 retainers, and 50 retainer springs. Replacement packages for each of these items are available, each with 100 units. For greater value, Capitol offers the Master Wafer Keying Kit, with 12 different compartments of components. This kit also comes with five kinds of disc tumblers (50 each) and 150 disc-tumbler springs; in addition, the customer gets five kinds of master tumblers, also 50 of each, plus 50 GMaster tumblers. Again, we supply replacement packages of 100 for each of these items.

The third kind of keying kit we manufacture is the radial pin tumbler keying kit for radial pin locks. These are special locks with radial pin tumbler switches with key pins and driver pins. Each switch is pushed towards the front of the lock, which stops the plug from rotating. The lock is accompanied by a tubular key with several half-cylinder indentations that align with the pins; the lock turns when pins align correctly. This kit holds eight types of Ilco pins, 100 each, as well as 500 bottom pins and 500 springs. Once again, replacement packages of 100 items each are available for every one.
