Tsubaki of Canada Ltd. can supply a range of indexing cam clutches. These clutches are used to transform reciprocating motion into one-direction motion. The reciprocating motion to drive the cam clutch is provided by a crank mechanism. The clutch will drive in the forward stroke, and then overrun on the return stroke, which indexes the feeding roller forward. Our selection includes models that feature low maintenance, high torque ranges, and many options for flanges and torque arms. Besides our indexing clutches, we can also offer a variety of backstop cam clutches and overrunning cam clutches.

Indexing cam clutches

The MIUS series units are our standard cam clutches for indexing applications. They offer a high torque range of up to 27,290 pound-feet (160 Newton meters).

The MZ series indexing clutches are well suited to general overrunning applications. These units come pre-lubricated and ready for immediate installation. They are perfect for gears, pulleys, and clutch assemblies.

The MZEU series units are European style clutches that do not require any lubrication maintenance as they are delivered pre-lubricated with special grease. These general purpose cam clutches can be used in a broad range of applications. They are available with various add-on flanges and torque arms. As a result, they can be used in applications with special requirements that would typically call for a custom designed solution.
