Hitch pins

Hitch pins are also sometimes referred to as R-clips, because their shape resembles the letter R. These clips are often used for vehicle towing applications, but they can also be used to secure round shafts such as axles and clevis pins for a variety of equipment. Typically, hitch pins consist of a round wire made from a harder metal than would be used for cotter pins. The function of hitch pins is similar to that of split pins or linchpins. But in comparison to split pins, hitch pins are reusable and they are easier to remove.  

We can supply hitch pins for use with clevis pin diameters from 1/16 inch to 1-1/8 inches. They have approximate overall lengths from 7/16 inch to 3-1/8 inches, and wire diameters from 0.028 inch to 0.125 inch.
