High voltage resistant wires

Some of the various types of high voltage wire available include:

• Plastic kinkless test lead wire offers high flexibility due to a combination of soft-formula PVE and a high strand count of extra-flexible tinned copper wire. The wire is light weight and elegant in appearance as it has vinyl insulation with a high-gloss, smooth finish. It is resistant to abrasion and suitable for voltages up to 5000 volts. This wire offers superior performance, appearance, and economy.
• High voltage FEP wire is available. It offers high voltage protection thanks to the dielectric properties of FEP. It is suitable for voltages up to 10 KV DC. In addition, it features high resistance to stress cracking, and maintains it flexibility and toughness in temperature up to 200 degrees C.
• High voltage silicone rubber wire is often used as ignition wire or related applications in gas ranges and gas or fuel oil burner systems.  The wire construction features a stranded silver plated copper conductor, insulated with extruded flexible silicone rubber, and protected with a fiberglass braid. It can be used for voltages up to 10 KV AC in temperatures up to 200 degrees C.
