Gravity chutes
The Safeglide Spiral Chute features a computer-aided design that ensures materials will move through at a constant speed. In addition, the heavy duty fiberglass construction has a proprietary surface coating that is very slick and highly resistant to wear. The sliding qualities of this low friction surface are not affected by unfavorable conditions like high humidity.
The Safeglide Spiral Chute can be used in accumulation applications, as it permits self-starting of products that have been stopped in the chute. Multi-entry infeeds are also available. These infeeds allow products to enter a single chute from different floor levels or from opposite sides.
Another option available is the innovative Channel Chute. This chute is quickly becoming the leading solution for small parcels and tray mail. It offers a solution for gently moving product to a lower level while maintaining orientation. Both Safeglide Spiral Chutes and Channel Chutes have profiles constructed of fiberglass ranging from 3/8 inches to 1/2 inches thick.
