Flexible tubing is available in a variety of materials from Johnston Industrial Plastics. Some of the plastics we work with include vinyl, nylon, PTFE, and polyethylene. Our products are used in applications ranging from automotive fuel lines to handling food products in vending machines. There are several options for flexible tubing colours, such as clear, white, black, red, green, blue, and yellow. In addition to our many flexible options, we also offer a variety of rigid and semi-rigid tubing, as well as other plastic fabrications such as sheeting, rod, and tape. Our inventory of engineering plastics is the largest in Canada.

Flexible tubing

Here is some information on our various types of flexible tubes:

Polyethylene tubing features low weight, economical price, and excellent resistance to stress cracking. It is resistant to solvents, chemically inert, and food grade models are available.

Teflon tubing offers resistance to high temperatures and will remain flexible even at cryogenic temperatures. It offers excellent electrical properties, low friction coefficient, and is unaffected by UV light. Corrugated PTFE FEP varieties are available and provide convenient extendability, compressibility, and the inside diameter will not be reduced by even the tightest bend diameters.

Vinyl models include Jayflex series tubing that is available with longitudinal nylon braid reinforcement. They offer smooth interiors, chemical resistance, and they are NSF certified for standard 51.

Additional available materials include FEP, PFA, PVDF, polypropylene, and polyurethane.
