Flexa makes an unmatched range of conduits, corresponding fittings, and accessories that are applicable in temperatures ranging from -60 to 300 degrees Celsius. They are also compliant with the IP69K rating, as well as solvent- and UV-resistant.

Conduits are tubes that protect and route electrical wiring or cable. While typically used in buildings and other structures, the Flexa conduits are specifically designed for machinery and automation. Flexible conduits can be used to connect to motors and other devices when isolation from vibration is needed. Flexa’s flexible metal conduits are made by the helical coiling of self-interlocked ribbed strips of aluminum or steel, forming hollow tubes through which users pull wires. They are recommended for dry areas where non-flexible conduits are impractical, but metallic strength is needed. A key advantage is that the flexible tubing does not maintain any permanent bend.

IBIS offers Flexa flexible metal conduits in five categories: non-liquid-tight; non-liquid-tight with braiding; liquid-tight; liquid-tight with braiding; and laser-welding or -cutting. Most of the non-liquid-tight models are silver-coloured, with a few exceptions, while the liquid-tight ones come in various colours, including blue, black, grey, and green. The SPR-VA-PU is a special design of conduit for laser-welding and -cutting fibre-optics cable protection and medical laser fibre-optic bundle protection. It is also highly useful in optoelectronics, machine building, lighting, robotics, measuring and sensor technology, packaging, rail transportation, shipbuilding, and automation.

Non-liquid-tight metal conduits are frequently made out of stainless steel. Common features include high compression strength, stretch resistance, wide application temperature range, and “slinky” ultra-flexible nature. Liquid-tight metal conduits are an ideal pick for the rail, shipbuilding, machine-building, and automation sectors. These models often have high compression strength and stretch resistance, along with resistance to oil, benzene, grease, solvents, and acids. A wide range of inner and outer diameters are available, plus various static and dynamic bend radii.
