While cam locks make up the vast majority of our portfolio, we also offer specialty solutions for a wide range of industrial and office applications. A major example is our line of drawer locks.

While drawer locks are popular products for parents who need to keep their children from contacting harmful items, they are also highly useful in workplace environments. Managers and financial personnel handle and file sensitive information that needs to be kept confidential – out of the eyes of employees and even spies or competitors. An effective, reliable, and durable drawer lock on an office desk is all it takes to maintain security in these situations, ensuring that an organization can remain competitive and innovative without interference or sabotage.

We offer six distinct series of drawer locks, in three different sizes, at Capitol Industries. The 1701, 1702, and 1703 series all have horizontal mounts, with barrels that measure 19, 22, and 29 millimetres (mm) respectively. The 1751, 1752, and 1753 series have vertical mounts, with the same respective measurements for their barrels. Each barrel measures 22 mm in diameter. Backplate options include assembled or unassembled, while finishing options include resin shell, nickel, and standard brass. Each model has a mount that is 51 mm in length and 35 mm in width (with 36 mm between the connection holes), with a bolt measuring 16 mm in width, three mm in thickness, and ten mm in trajectory.

Keying options for our drawer locks include keyed alike, keyed different, and master keying, with an O1014S brass milled key, up to 100 combinations, and five brass disc tumblers. The numbering is key blank standard, with a plug upon the customer’s request.
