Die Forgings
Die forgings of many types, sizes, and materials are available from Ken Forging Inc. Our specialty is forging high quality fasteners and hardware for heavy duty industrial applications. Some of the products we provide include bolts, clamps, eye pads, rod ends, and turnbuckles. Custom forged items are available up to a maximum of 250 Lbs. Our standard items are available with same-day delivery thanks to our ample stock, and special forgings are produced with fast turnaround times. We strive to only provide top quality products, delivered on time, and built to exceed customer expectations.
Die forgings
We utilize both open and closed die drop forging methods to make products of practically any shape. Closed die forging offers the benefit of enabling tighter tolerances and more complexity in the forging’s shape. Alternatively, open die forging can result in products with reduced chance of voids and better resistance to fatigue.
Besides forging, we provide a selection of in-house secondary operations so we can supply our customers with ideal, ready-for-use hardware. For example, we can offer several different threading forms such as UNF, UNC, ACME, and metric. Our standard finishes include plain (self-coloured), black oxide, zinc electroplated, hot dip galvanized, and electro polished.
The materials we work with include many grades of stainless, carbon, and alloy steels.
Die forging expertise
We have earned valuable experience during our more than 45 years serving the die forging industry. Our company began in 1970 as a tool and die maker working out of a garage measuring 20 square feet. Due to the quality of our products and services, our business rapidly grew. We soon shifted our focus to performing drop forging ourselves and providing our customers with a one-stop shopping environment.
Die forging process
Our current manufacturing plant measures more than 250,000 square feet, and provides us with the capabilities to meet or exceed all expectations. To ensure our forgings are free of defects, we can perform magnetic particle inspections and load testing. We also offer 100 per cent traceability and lot control.
