Six certification options available
We offer a range of certification options that can verify the quality of your products, allowing you to operate in more markets. With four different certification programs and two types of field evaluations, we are sure to offer a method that best suits your business.
Our model certification requires businesses to submit product samples. Upon receipt, our staff will test your product to see if it is compliant. If the products pass, they will receive a CSA mark. Other potential certification programs include witness testing, which allows representatives from your company to conduct testing with a CSA witness present; supervised certification, which allows your staff to conduct testing with CSA verification; and category certification, which allows for full freedom in testing, but requires a CSA certificate of qualification.
Our field evaluation programs, meanwhile, are designed to certify products with less than 500 models produced per year. Field certifications ensure companies only need to test their products once, with evaluations taking place at your business. Field evaluations, meanwhile, can be carried out at your business, a CSA property or the site of installation for a product. CSA officials conduct both procedures.
