Caps

At MOCAP, we manufacture a wide variety of plastic and rubber products. This includes many models of rubber and plastic caps, all of high quality and low cost. These caps protect products during shipping, conversion, or assembly and can add the perfect finishing touch. They can also be used for low-cost masking or protection from debris. Our vinyl dip-moulded caps include no additional tooling charges.

Our portfolio includes multiple types of vinyl plastic dip-moulded, plastic injection-moulded, and rubber caps for virtually all product protection, masking, or finishing requirements. Variations range from injection-moulded low-density polyethylene caps to vinyl dip-moulded caps, end caps, and high-temperature vinyl caps, as well as silicon and EPDM rubber units. Customers use them in a broad variety of industries, including the medical, automotive, appliance, electronics, and HVAC markets.

Three main categories of rubber and plastic caps are available from MOCAP:

  • Friction fit caps. Designed to protect threads and fittings from moisture, contamination, and damage during production, shipping, or storage. These caps are non-threaded, so they slide into place easily and users remove them with minimal effort.
  • Tapered caps. Five models available, also designed to protect threads and fittings in multiple production stages. Variations include paper, wide flange, and thick wide flange. Paper tapered caps are eco-friendly, cost-efficient solutions made from recyclable paper; they do not promote condensation and are perfect for low-to-high-temperature applications.
  • Threaded caps. Knurled plastic caps for easy application and handling, with three designs available for BSP/gas fittings, metric threads, or flared JIC fittings. They are useful as masking caps during painting, while protecting threaded components from debris.

We offer hundreds of sizes, shapes, and designs of polyethylene injection-moulded caps too, plus vinyl dip-moulded plastic units made through a special process that allows customers to specify length, wall thickness, colour, surface texture, and hardness. Also available is a broad variety of EPDM rubber caps and silicone rubber caps for paint, powder-coating, and spray-masking applications. Many sizes of these units are stocked and ready to ship.
