Apron Conveyors


Norpak Handling Limited can supply a wide variety of equipment including apron conveyors. Apron conveyors use belts made up of individual apron plates that are hinged together. This type of conveyor offers superior resistance to heat, heavy loads, and continuous operation. They are often used for handling abrasive materials like rocks or granules. Apron conveyors

One example of the apron conveyors available is the Hytrol model PCH parts conveyor. This conveyor is perfect for moving hot, oily parts from forging machines, punch presses, and more, to drums, hoppers, or other equipment. It is designed for easy positioning in these applications.

The standard model uses a uses a belt made of 12 gauge perforated steel apron plates. The plates are connected with a piano hinge design.  The belt’s heavy duty construction includes solid steel, heat-treated rollers and continuous off-set side wing links. This design ensures the belt provide continuous reliable service.

The PCH parts conveyor has a constant belt speed of 30 feet per minute a weight capacity of 35 pounds per linear foot of conveyor. Five different belt widths are available ranging from 6 inches to 24 inches wide. The conveyor can be supplied in a variety of configurations, from straight to "Z" type units.

A range of optional equipment is available from Norpak Handling Limited. The selection includes fully adjustable floor supports, drip pans, covers, magnetic starters, and AC variable frequency drives. As opposed to the standard perforated belt, they can also be supplied in pimpled, pimpled and perforated, or cleated varieties. Both 1.5-inch and 2-inch cleat heights are available.
