Air Curtain Transvectors

EXAIR offers the latest generation of engineered air knives – air knives that dramatically reduce compressed air usage and noise. They offer a more efficient way to clean, dry or cool parts, webs or conveyors by delivering a uniform sheet of laminar airflow across the entire length with hard-hitting force. Air Knives are available in Aluminum, Type 303 Stainless Steel, Type 316 Stainless Steel and PVDF and are available with one-piece construction in lengths up to 108″ (2743mm).

EXAIR air knife systems use compressed air for industrial applications that include drying, removing excess oils and liquids, dust blow off, and cooling. We offer Super, Standard and Full-Flow Air Knives in standard lengths that range from 3″ (76mm) to 108″ (2743mm). EXAIR is the only place you can find lengths up to 108″ with one-piece construction. Special lengths are available. The Super Air Knife has an air amplification ratio (entrained air to compressed air) of 40:1, while the Standard and Full-Flow Air Knives have a ratio of 30:1. A company manufactures woven wire products. They dip the wire screen into a paint or powder coat solution and need to remove the excess. They were using beater brushes. The brushes did not do a good job and they wore out rapidly. A Model 110048 48″ (1219mm) Super Air Knife provided an even and effective blow off as the product exited the dip tank.

The Super Air Knife is ideal for blowing off chips, dirt or water from parts, webs or conveyors. It delivers a uniform sheet of air that has the same force across the entire length. There are no interruptions or “dead spots”, which means all surfaces are dried or cleaned. To see our Air Knives in action, click here.
