Air Actuated Valves

ODE Valve Canada supplies an impressive range of valves, pumps, and gear motors for workplace use, with a level of quality and innovation that comes from 60 years of manufacturing and design experience. In addition to our broad variety of solenoid valves, we carry two categories of air actuated valves. Also known as air-operated valves, these units are a type of power-operated valves that use air pressure against pistons or diaphragms to produce linear or circular movement for operation.

We offer two series of air actuated valves: the 21IA4-9 series, which comprises 316 stainless steel universal models, and the 31A series of direct acting valves. The former series is recommended for dry air, gas, and neutral liquids, and other medium examples include water, hot water, steam, and aggressive and food fluids. Each of these valves offers an NPT connection from ½ an inch to two inches and an orifice size within the same range, and each is capable of operating pressures of up to 261 pounds per square inch (psi). The valve includes a PTFE seal, a standard optical position indicator, and a standard anti-waterhammer. The 21IA4-9 series is available in normally open, normally closed, or double-acting versions; it can handle media temperatures from minus ten to 180 degrees Celsius and ambient temperatures from minus ten to 60 degrees Celsius.

The 31A series consists of three-way, direct-acting, normally closed solenoid valves with pipe sizes from 1/8 to ¼ of an inch, 8W coils, and operating pressures of up to 290 pounds per square inch. Each of these ODE air actuated valves has a brass body, a copper shading ring, and an armature tube, fixed core, plunger, and spring all made of stainless steel. The electrical connection has a NEMA 4 rating.

This series comes in three variations with different sealing materials:

  • FKM. Recommended for air, inert gas, water, and synthetic oils.
  • NBR. For air, inert gas, and water.
  • Ruby. Suitable for air, inert gas, water, and steam.

Our inventory offers something for virtually any pump or valve need. Contact us to find the right solution for any application.
